Big 12 would mean big money for the University of Houston
The Big 12 Conference is an event the University of Houston is keen on joining as it would assist the university in gaining more prestige, popularity, competition and money. Each member of the conference received $23.5 million each in the previous season. By comparison, UH only received $4.5 million from the American Athletic Conference according to reports. CBS analysts stress that the consideration of schools such as UH to join the Big 12 is understandable given its benefits, but there are also costs. Regardless of potential setbacks, the investments in taking part in the Big 12 Conference will deliver benefits in the long run and a decision from the conference is likely to decide this October.
