Houston law firm acquires New York firm to boost IP, tech practice

Kenyon and Kenyon of New York is now under Houston’s Andrews Kurth LLP. The deal is expected to close this September, dissolving Kenyon and Kenyon, which is known as a top intellectual property and technology law firm. Andrews Kurth will then be known as Andrews Kurth Kenyon, which would include both Andrews Kurth and Kenyon and Kenyon associates and staff. According to the managing partner of Andrews Kurth, the deal would allow the firm to become a top destination for both local and international clients seeking intellectual property and technology assistance. Aside from the Andrews Kurth deal, Polsinelli Law Firm from Missouri would also expand its Houston operations after acquiring Novak Druce Connolly Bove + Quigg LLP of Houston.
