Longtime Houston restaurant coming to renovated convention center

Pappas Restaurants Inc will be taking over a space at the newly renovated George R. Brown Convention Center according to an announcement of Houston First Corp on August 29. The restaurant – Pappadeux Seafood Kitchen – would take over 9,000 square feet of space in the convention center with two floors for diners, patio space and counter seating. This restaurant is expected to open on January and one of the eight eateries earlier announced by Houston First in the Houston’s convention district. Pappadeux Seafood Kitchen will join Grotto Downtown, Bud’s Pitmaster BBQ and McAlister’s Deli in the convention center, close to the new promenade known as the Avenida-Avenida de las Americas.
