Two Houston sports bars shuttered over the weekend

Two other Houston sports bars have called it quits this weekend following the bankruptcy filing of their mother company. Champps and Fox and Hound on the Gulf Freeway have closed their doors this weekend according to the report of CultureMan following the filing of their main company Last Call Guarantor for a Chapter 11 bankruptcy on August 10. The company is currently in debt which is somewhere around $100 to $500 million with its listed assets worth $10 to $50 million. This decision by Last Call is brought by its move to put most of its employees under part-time status due to their costs of health care under the Affordable Care Act. Other factors for its bankruptcy were also noted in this report.
